Grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattorov was ranked among the 10 strongest chess players in the world and became the first chess player to achieve this success in the history of Uzbekistan.
Sports Uzbek grandmaster Nodirbek Abdusattarov was ranked among the 10 strongest chess players in the world in the dynamic (online) rating.
Last weekend, Abdusattorov scored two wins and one draw in the German team chess championship (Bundesliga) in the "Firnheim" club.
Then the athlete from Uzbekistan defeated Grandmaster Tchai Dai Van Nguyen in the first round of the Prague International Chess Festival supertournament.
This raised his rating to 2753.5 points and five places: 10th in the dynamic rating.
Nodirbek Abdusattarov set a record among Uzbekistani chess players: a year ago he had the highest rating, and now he is in the top ten of the world. Before that, only Rustam Kasimjanov took 11th place with 2715 points.
Prague Chess Festival 2024 will be held in the Czech capital from February 27 to March 7. Three candidates from the Candidates tournament will compete in the tournament: Pragnanandha Rameshbabu, Vidit Santosh Gujrati and Gukesh Dommaradju. Apart from them, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, Vincent Kaymer, Richard Rapport, Parham Magsudlu, ten-time Czech champion David Navara, four-time Polish champion Mateusz Bartel, as well as another local representative Tay Day Van Nguyen are playing.
In this rating, for the first time in the history of Uzbekistan chess, 4 Uzbeks were included in the "Top-100" at once.

Nodirbek Abdusattarov is in 31st place with 2,713 points;
Rustam Kasimjanov is in 69th place with 2670 points;
Nodirbek Yakubboyev is in 80th place with 2663 points;
Jawahir Sindarov is ranked 92nd with 2,654 points.
